Advanced Sensors & Embedded Controls System (ASECs)
Advanced Sensors and Embedded Control System (ASECs) research group is part of the Center of Telecommunication Research & Innovation (CeTRI), which is one of the Center of Excellent in Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).
ASECs consisting of three research themes, which are:
Advanced Sensors:
Energy Harvesting Devices (Piezoelectric, Electromagnetic and Hybrid); Electronic Materials Fabrication and Characterization; Flexible Electronics;
Lead-free Piezoelectric materials are being investigated for the energy harvesting applications
Sensors
Piezoelectric transducers are being developed to detect particles with different sizes.
Control Systems:
Wireless Power Transfer Technology; Pneumatic Control
Nonlinear Control Theory
The focus of this field is on the polynomial control systems and this includes controller design, filter and observer design of such systems. The networked control system is also a main focus here.
Embedded Electronics:
Robotics; Haptic Technology; Wireless Sensor Nodes; Medical Electronics ;
